Introduction Post

Hi there! My name is Ashley Campos., and I am so excited to be starting up this blog to share with you. I want to share a little bit about me and what you can expect to be seeing in this blog. So, here it goes.
I am 24 years old (Team Leo!!), I'm a tattoo addict, an Army veteran and I am a wife to the man of my dreams, Nicholas. I met him while I was in the Army and now I am following his Army career which brought us to Los Angeles California where he is a recruiter. I am so happy to support him in his career, as he supports me in everything I do. Together we have a beautiful 18 month old baby girl. She is my mini me and my everything! I am also extremely blessed to be a stay at home mom and spend everyday with her learning and growing together. She teaches me so much about myself everyday and I totally enjoy every single moment of mom life.

On January 2014, I dedicated myself to my weight loss journey. I was 9 months postpartum and by that time I had had gained close to 80 pounds, putting me at 234 pounds. I was very depressed, unhealthy and I was ready to make a change, not only for me but for my family. In June 2014 I decided I was ready to take my weight loss journey to the next level and become a Beachbody coach. Today, I am a diamond Beachbody coach and I love that I can continue my own weight loss journey, and have the opportunity to help others get healthy and fit. It truly is my passion and I am so happy that it found me. Better yet, I love being able to work from home as a coach. Being able to spend all day with my daughter and work in between nap times has truly been a blessing.

As of today, I have lost 75 pounds and I'm still pushing onwards. I feel like I still have room for improvement (but don't we all?). Not that I'm not happy with where I'm at right now, because I totally am. I just know that I am capable of doing so much more. I have my motivation at an all time high, and I have no intentions of stopping. Because this isn't just some fad for me. This is my lifestyle. I have completely embraced the healthy life and I love it. Heck-- even my daughter is doing squats and eating her veggies ;) So, I guess you can say we've all embraced this lifestyle.

I get asked all the time, "What's your secret to losing weight?". Well, here's the secret. There is no secret! :) I didn't use any miracle wraps or pills. Just honest hard work and dedication. Losing weight isn't something that just comes easy. It's something you have to work at, day after day. It's not something you wake up and decide to do one day and put it off the rest of the week and expect to see results. No, it's about commitment. You have to commit yourself to it and tell yourself, even with all the excuses flying that you WILL do it. That's the secret.

I try to be as real as I can. So, you can expect that here. But, I'm also really silly and I love to laugh! 99% of my post workout pictures you will see me in I'm smiling! Not because I'm always happy.. I have bad days too. But because working out makes me happy!! As it should! :) I post a lot about my workouts, which currently include 21 day fix, T25 and Les Mills Pump. I also try to talk about the foods I eat. Its not my strong area when it comes to sharing because I feel like so many people have different views on what's "good" and "bad". But, I will share what has worked for ME. Just keep in mind, what works for me might not necessarily work for you. The only way you will know for sure is through trial and error. Try it. If it doesn't work, adjust it so that it DOES work for you.

This isn't just a weight loss blog though. It's just about, life. I'm a mom. So i'll share stuff about mom life. I'm an Army wife. So, I'll share what its like to be an Army spouse. I am also a pug mommy, so I'll probably talk about that too ;) The big picture is. Life is busy. For me, for everyone. Finding time for yourself in the mix of everything is essential. You NEED to take care of yourself. Even if its 30 minutes a day to workout. That's for YOU.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my blog and I hope you will leave me feed back on my posts :) If you ever want to reach out to my privately, feel free to email me at getfitwithashley2day@gmail.com. 2. Yep, this blog post brought tears to my eyes. At the risk of being a mushy, embarrassing family member, I just want to say that I am overcome with pride for who you've become. I have enjoyed so much being a part of your life and watching you become an inspirational Mom and wife. You are helping an untold amount of people. Whether you see the difference you make or not, know that you're story is helping others. Your blog will be a place where people can come for motivation and for learning that "it's not just them". Thank you for being a bright light in this world and giving back in the best way you can. I cannot wait to follow your journey through this blog. I love you, Ashley.
